The Question of Bondages

You may wonder why I’m writing about bondages. You may be thinking, like so many, that bondages are about slavery or ancient times or possibly addictions of various types. In reading “The Question of Bondages,” you may see things in your life you had not identified as a bondage. Without knowing what a bondage is and understanding its operation, you may wonder or question why certain situations don’t change, or mindsets are firmly planted, regardless of whether they are in line with the Word of God. Remember that bondages are from the enemy, intended to keep you from whatever God has for you and your life using anything he can to achieve that purpose.

The Body of Christ overall is in more bondage today than they realize, having been deceived into thinking more like the world thinks or having more of their own “self-focused” thoughts than God-focused thoughts. It may be easier to understand what a bondage is if you think of it in terms of the entanglements that are referred to in Hebrews 12:1 but much stronger.

It is time to get serious about growing up spiritually, developing into whatever we are called to do, and BE His servant leaders to fight the spiritual battles that are a part of this end-time season. We must get to the place of putting God before any and all things in our lives – schedules, activities, friends, on and on. Do you have a life of “Him-focus?”
