Carman Poindexter
I was born in South Carolina and raised on the coast in North Carolina. My mother taught me about Jesus and His love. Most of her teaching was by example. She was a woman of faith; so, therefore, I learned early by her example to take everything to the Lord in prayer. I made a profession of faith as a teenager and was baptized later as an adult. God always puts people in front of us for a season, either to learn from them or to teach them. I was blessed to have several mentor/teachers throughout my adult years. I do not ever want to stop learning.
When challenges come our way, we know on whom we can call……that’s right, Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and Savior and He will always answer. It was through my struggles that I learned to call on Him. My first book, “A Mother’s Prayer” which is my testimony, recounts how God brought me through many struggles that women, wives, and mothers encounter.
Out of that book, MPAC, a support group for mothers, was born. After a few years, God began to reveal to me the topics I was teaching at MPAC were to become the lessons taught in this book “A Mother’s 10 Commandments.”
