Jordan Jullian

About the Author:

Jordan Julian is originally from the North Bay Area, about 30 minutes from San

Francisco, California. He met his wife Ellie while she was attending college at Sonoma

State University, and they have now been married for 10 years. They have 3 young girls,

ages 10, 7, and 5 whom they raised in Modesto, California before recently making the

trek to Great Falls, Montana in August 2023 where they currently reside, enjoying all the

beauty Big Sky Country has to offer.

Jordan and Ellie have served together over the course of their marriage in various

ministries, predominantly youth and marriage ministry. They have helped develop

curriculums for marriage conferences and small groups, as well as fulfilling various

support roles in several youth ministries such as leading group discussions, setting up

games, and providing all the junk food that makes youth group feel welcoming. They

have also volunteered for greeting roles by welcoming new church attendees and helping

them take their next steps for where they want to be involved in the church.

Jordan started taking the calling of his writing seriously when he felt led to create the

questions and notes for the various small groups at his former church, Celebration Center

located in Modesto, CA. Being able to create opportunities for people to strengthen their

relationships with God through deep questions that encourage Holy Spirit conversations

is one of the things Jordan loves most about writing. When the Holy Spirit speaks truth

into your life and you pursue that truth, it takes your relationship with God to the next

level, and He shows off in ways you never thought possible.

The inspiration for his book, “Tearing Down the Walls,” came from a sermon series at

Celebration Center titled “I Love My Church,” which originally started out as blog posts

in response to each week’s sermon. When he saw the blog posts written out together, he

immediately saw its potential for a book. Combined with the questions he wrote for small

groups, he knew the Holy Spirit led him to write a book where people could find healing

by writing their answers to questions that God might place on their hearts.

Writing out our responses to the questions we think about in our faith journey can lead to

a deeper discovery of who we are in Christ and how He wants to use us in expanding His

Kingdom. It is my hope and prayer that this book will be used as a valuable resource for

churches across the nation, for building strong spiritual foundations that draw people into

the love of Christ to increase their influence in the territories that they have taken hold of.

Let us love like Jesus loves, without abandon.
