Dr. Maceo Smith is the founder and President of Encourage U-On Ministry in Colorado Springs, CO. He holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Spiritology Ministries and Spiritual Growth Ministries. His focus is teaching “Spiritual Growth through Biblical Meditation.” He’s a graduate of Wisdom University, Tulsa, OK.

Being called to the ministry office of Teacher, his mission for all teachings are rooted and grounded in Proverbs 9:9 (AMPC) – “Give instruction to a wise man and he will yet be wiser; teach a right man (one upright and in right standing with God) and he will increase in learning.”

Upon being baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, Dr. Maceo’s desire began to turn toward the Scripture for knowledge and direction. It was during this time he began to see Scriptures like Joshua 1:8, “This book of the Law shall not depart out your mouth, but shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.” He realized then the word meditate was incorporating thoughts, desire, faith and imagination. However, this knowledge was biblical instruction in using this knowledge God’s way to be successful in His Kingdom.

Dr. Maceo is originally from Arkansas and presently lives with his wife Brenda, in Colorado Springs, CO. He enjoys container gardening with plants and flowers. He enjoys rising early in the morning listening to instrumental Gospel music while viewing the sunrise upon Pikes Peak and the Cheyenne mountains from his patio. He treasures his time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been, and the memories we gained along the way.
